In a massive setback to Proteas ahead of a crucial encounter against the West Indies, all-rounder JP Duminy has been ruled out of Friday's game due to an injury. "The scans, which were done yesterday, confirmed our clinical suspicion of a hamstring strain which means that he will be ruled out of Friday's game against the West Indies in Nagpur," South African team manager Dr Mohammed Moosajee said.

The West Indies, on the other hand, won their first two matches of tournament and are looking to seal a semi-final berth from their group. They defeated Sri Lanka by seven wickets in their second Super10 Group 1 encounter on Sunday. Batting first, Sri Lanka made 122 for nine in 20 overs. West Indies opener Andre Fletcher ( 84 off 64) powered his side to chase down the modest target with seven wickets and 10 balls to spare.

"We've always had close battles with Sri Lanka. It was good to see the way we bowled. The way Fletcher batted was brilliant. He is an opener. He was picked in the original squad, but Johnson Charles got the nod. That's what you want, someone to have an impact," West Indies skipper Darren Sammy said.

The probable squads:

West Indies- Darren Sammy, Dwayne Bravo, Samuel Badree, Evin Lewis, Jerome Taylor, Andre Russell, Marlon Samuels, Denesh Ramdin, Chris Gayle, Ashley Nurse, Carlos Brathwaite, Sulieman Benn, Jason Holder, Andre Fletcher

South Africa- Faf du Plessis, Kyle Abbott, Hashim Amla, Farhaan Behardien, Quinton de Kock, AB de Villiers, JP Duminy, Imran Tahir, David Miller, Chris Morris, Aaron Phangiso, Kagiso Rabada, Rilee Rossouw, Dale Steyn, David Wiese
