USA Network's surprise summer hit of 2015, "Mr. Robot," is beefing up its cast for the sophomore campaign. On top of bringing back virtually every main cast member from Season 1, "Mr. Robot" will introduce a handful of interesting new faces for Season 2. Some of them may surprise you.

The latest addition to "Mr. Robot's" second season cast is Aasif Mandvi ("The Brink," "The Daily Show") in a recurring role. Mandvi will play Jesse, a special agent who is described as a "dog." Other than that, nothing is known about this mysterious new character.

However, his character could associate with Grace Gummer ("Ricki and the Flash," "The Newsroom"), who will play FBI field agent Dominique "Dom" DiPierro on the upcoming season. Her character is tasked with investigating the E(vil) Corp hack that protagonist Elliot Anderson (Rami Malek) perpetrated at the conclusion of the first season. Creator and showrunner Sam Esmail has said that he wants to explore both sides of the cyber security issue this time around.

"Elliot committed a crime in the first season, and we're gonna see the ramifications of that in the second season, I think that drives a lot about what the second season is all about," Esmail said. "And that's why there's the introduction of law enforcement that was kind of intentionally not shown in the first season, so that opens a whole new dimension there. And really I think the second season is about [Elliot and Mr. Robot] - that internal struggle, what does that look like, and how are they going to reconcile it?"

Comedian Craig Robinson will also be joining the cast in a guest role. Known for his humor, Robinson will now have to fit into the dark and twisted world of "Mr. Robot" as Ray, a neighborhood local who reaches out to Elliot as he deals with his inner turmoil. In addition, rapper Joey Bada$$ will take on the role of Leon, a childhood friend of Elliot's.

"Mr. Robot" is expected to return to USA Network for a second season sometime in June or July.
