A source has recently revealed to Life & Style Weekly that 27-year-old actress Amanda Bynes does not plan on living with her parents after finishing her treatment program at her Malibu rehab center, and may be out in time for Christmas.

Amanda Bynes' mother, Lynn, has notably warned people not to trust any sources that do not come from the family directly.

Nonetheless, the Life & Style source insists that "Amanda will not be living with her parents" after her time in rehab is up, adding that "the next step for her will be to have a sober companion or coach," and when she comes home for Christmas, she will be accompanied by "trained professionals" and will not leave the facility on her own. The report matches a previous claim made by TMZ earlier this month that the star is expected to be released in December.

Bynes' circumstances are complicated, the former child star having become infamous over the summer for her bizarre Twitter rants in which she called everyone from President Barack Obama to Drake ugly (in between professing her love for him) and at times disturbing public behavior, which included legal run-ins and physical scuffles with paparazzi.

"The goal is to help her transition into society properly," said the insider, who was allegedly with Bynes on one of her chaperoned lunches she is allowed once a week. "It's a small step, but an incredibly important one. She now understands that she needs to take her medicine daily. She has her good days and bad days like everyone else, but she wants to move forward with her life - and she is. She's very stable."

In August, Bynes was placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold by police after setting fire to a stranger's driveway in Thousand Oaks, Calif. She had departed from Manhattan after having been kicked out of her apartment and seemed to be wandering around her hometown with no clear destination. After receiving treatment at UCLA Medical Center, the star was transported to Bridges to Recovery in Malibu, which specializes in mental health treatment.

While it has been heavily speculated on, Bynes' official diagnosis has not been revealed and will likely remain so in order to protect her privacy.
