Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White has been adamant about wanting to finish his career as a Falcon, and he may get what he wants, as both general manager Thomas Dimitroff and head coach Dan Quinn are leaning towards retaining the veteran wide receiver, according to Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The 34-year-old wide receiver's numbers have diminished in recent seasons, but he has proven to still be effective on the field, as he recorded 43 receptions for 506 yards and scored a touchdown this past season. White is the franchise leader in receptions (808), touchdown receptions (63) and receiving yards (10,863).

The Falcons finished the 2015 regular season in second place in the NFC South with an 8-8 record, but for many, it was a disappointing year, as they started the season with five straight wins. The Falcons decided to keep continuity this offseason and retained Dimitroff as their general manager, and they will look improve on the field in in their second year under Quinn as head coach.

The Falcons offense averaged the seventh most yards per game in the NFL last season, and while White is expected to stay in Atlanta, the Falcons may still look to add other weapons to the offense. "We are still going through it," Quinn said, via The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "It's a combination of can we feature him in the best way for him and allow other players to come up through the system as well."

Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones led the NFL in receiving last season with 1,871 yards and scored eight touchdowns. White and Jones are strong combination of receivers for the Falcons, but Atlanta may look to add young talent to the position through the draft, and some have even projected them to take Ole Miss wide receiver Laquon Treadwell with their first round pick, according to Walter Football.

The Falcons have other issues to fix this offseason, as their defense struggled to stop opposing offenses. The Falcons could look to target a pass rusher as well in the first round, as they finished the 2015 regular season last in the NFL with only 19 sacks. The Falcons will look to make moves on both sides of the ball this offseason, but veteran wide receiver White likely won't be one of them, as he looks to get ready for his 12th season in Atlanta.
