Cleveland Browns new head coach Hue Jackson has already said that the Browns are in need of a quarterback this offseason, and while many expect Cleveland to take a quarterback with the second pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, some have reported that they could look to acquire their future quarterback through free agency.

The Denver Broncos just won the Super Bowl this past Sunday, but they have major player personnel decisions to make this offseason, including backup quarterback Brock Osweiler, who could draw some interest from Jackson and the Browns, according to Sports Illustrated's Peter King. The Browns are reportedly expected to move on from troubled quarterback Johnny Manziel this March and could take a closer look at the Broncos' former second round pick.

Osweiler got some time behind center in Denver's offense this season, starting seven games and posting a record of 5-2. The 2012 second-round draft pick completed 61.8 percent of his passes for 1,967 yards with 10 touchdowns to six interceptions. The Broncos will likely look to bring Osweiler back next season but are also looking to retain linebacker Von Miller and defensive end Malik Jackson, who become unrestricted free agents.

Miller is reportedly expected to receive the franchise tag this offseason, and it will be interesting to see if the Denver's front office will be able to work out a deal with Osweiler. Many draft analysts are expecting the Browns to select California quarterback Jared Goff with the second pick in the draft, but the Browns front office could look to acquire Osweiler through free agency and secure a talent at a different position in the draft.

Cleveland fans are sick of hearing it, but they are clearly in rebuilding mode again after a total overhaul in both the front office and the coaching staff. It's unknown what Cleveland's plans are in free agency this offseason, but their new head coach has a strong history with quarterbacks and will look to develop someone he thinks can help lead them back to the postseason.
