Both clubs come into the match with the same record over their last four matches (DDWW), but they are in drastically different positions in the Premier League table. Chelsea has struggled all year and currently sits in 14th, 3 points above relegation. Meanwhile Arsenal needs three points to keep pace with first place Leicester City.

The last time these two sides met, Chelsea beat Arsenal 2-0 at Emirates stadium in October. But a lot has changed since then. Chelsea fired manager Jose Mourinho in December in favor of Guus Hiddink in that hopes he could salvage the season. While Arsene Wenger and the Gunners have climbed to the top of the standings thanks to the technical play from Mesut Ozil. Ozil missed the last two matches due to a knee injury but will be fit to play against Chelsea, according to The Guardian. Midfielder Alexis Sanchez is also set to return from injury against Chelsea.

Wenger is eager to get two of his most productive players back for the match against Chelsea, but he told The Guardian that he isn't prepared to take chances with Sanchez and may have the midfielder start the match on the bench.

"The doubt is about him having been out for a long time and the risk of a setback," Wenger said. "To be clear on all the tests is one thing. To be clear after training is another. But the intensity of a big game you can never replicate in training and you can make the risk minimal."

Despite struggling in the Premier League table, Chelsea looks to continue their success against Arsenal on Sunday. The Blues have won 19 of 23 premier league matches against the Gunners since 2004.

Chelsea is expecting the return of feisty forward Diego Costa, according to Goal.com. Costa gave Arsenal fits the last time the two sides met in October, when he was a central factor in a brawl that saw Arsenal defender Gabriel Paulista sent off with a red card. Chelsea eventually won the match 2-0, but Arsenal manager Wenger is ready for the challenge Costa brings.

"We have to be prepared for a battle because Costa gives you a fight," Wenger said. "After that, it's down to the referee. We are convinced that our points and our record are linked to our discipline. We have to be prepared for a battle because Costa gives you a fight. After that, it's down to the referee.
