Manchester City will take on Everton in the first leg of the Capital One Cup semi-final on Wednesday. The two sides will kick off at 8 p.m. GMT (3 p.m. EST/ 12 p.m. PST) at Goodison Park in Merseyside, in front of Everton's home supporters.

Everton's last two wins have come away from Goodison, but manager Roberto Martinez believes that the club will get a boost from its supporters.

"I feel that playing at home, Goodison at its very intimidating best, we can face anyone and we're looking forward to replicating the level of our performance against Spurs," Martinez told BBC News.

Everton has struggled in the Barclay's Premier League, but the club looked promising through the League Cup, defeating Middlesborough 2-0 in the quarter final.

Everton goalkeeper and former American International Tim Howard will likely be replaced by back up Joel Robles, BBC News noted. Howard's future with Everton is in question, according to the Liverpool Echo, and Robles could be in line to replace the American stopper.

Manchester City comes into the match with only one loss in their last six matches. However they will be without striker Wilfried Bony, who will miss the match with a calf injury, Sports Mole reported. Sergio Aguero will be used in Bony's place to create the attack for Manchester City, according to Bleacher Report.

Manager Manuel Pellegrini will rely on striker Yaya Toure, who has been hot, scoring three times in his last four matches, the Manchester Evening News reported.

"He's not only scoring important goals. He's scored important goals in the last few games, but I think that Yaya gives very good play to our team," Pellegrini said of Toure.

"He's the midfielder from where we have the most amount of passes to make the last decisive pass, so I think he's a very important player," Pellegrini continued.
