After pre-apologizing for his jokes earlier this month, Ricky Gervais didn't hold back during his opening monologue at the 2016 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday.

Hosting the Golden Globes for the fourth time, Gervais skewered everyone from Jennifer Lawrence to Caitlyn Jenner and kicked off his monologue by saying, "I want to do this monologue and go into hiding, OK? Not even Sean Penn will find me," referring to recent reports that the actor interviewed escaped Mexican drug kingpin, El Chapo, before his recapture.

The host then went on to make fun of NBC. "It's right that NBC host this awards show, because they are the only network who were truly fair and impartial and that's because they're the only network with zero nominations. So, nothing in it for them tonight," he quipped, according to The Slate.

The 54-year-old then moved on to the subject of the gender wage gap in Hollywood, taking playful shots at J-Law for demanding equal pay. "How the hell could a 25-year-old live on $52 million?" he asked, before demanding to be "paid exactly the same as Tina and Amy did for hosting the show last year," according to Rolling Stone.

No one was safe from the English comedian, not even Caitlyn Jenner.

"I've changed. Not as much as Bruce Jenner, obviously. Now Caitlyn Jenner," he said, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Gervais then went on about how the former Olympic gold medalist has become a role model for the transgender community and praised her bravery for "breaking down barriers and destroying stereotypes" before making fun of Jenner's car accident.

"She didn't do a lot for women drivers, but you can't have everything, can you?" he joked.
