Early Thursday morning, the nominations for the 2016 Golden Globe Awards were announced. Among the list of lead actresses nominated in a motion picture, musical or comedy were BFF's Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Schumer. Lawrence earned a nomination for her latest film, "Joy," directed by David O. Russell, while Schumer received hers for her summer blockbuster movie, "Trainwreck."

While Schumer and Lawrence are currently working on their first screenplay together, as HNGN previous reported, Schumer joked that the battle for the Golden Globe could end their friendship.

"As soon as I saw that we were both nominated, I took her right out of my phone because our friendship is obviously over," Schumer joked in an interview on Thursday morning, according to Entertainment Weekly. "It's really every woman for herself at this point, and I don't want her to kind of get in my head, you know?"

Schumer also said she was excited for Brie Larson, who was nominated in the drama lead actress category for "Room," and played her sister in "Trainwreck," which is also nominated for Best Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy.

"'Room' blew me away," Schumer said. "Brie's performance in that just completely floored me and my sister, and I just love her so much. And Jen, I haven't seen 'Joy' yet. I get to see it this Sunday, and I just can't wait. But she always knocks it so far out of the park."

This is Lawrence's fourth time being nominated for a Golden Globe, according to People. She was previously nominated for her roles in "Winter's Bone," "American Hustle" and "Silver Linings Playbook."

Schumer and Lawrence will also face off against Melissa McCarthy, Lily Tomlin, and Maggie Smith in their category.

"I mean, I love Maggie Smith. I love Lily, I love Melissa. I just can't wait to be in the same room as these people," Schumer said.

The Golden Globe Awards will be hosted by Ricky Gervais and will air Jan. 10 on NBC.
