The 2016 Golden Globe Awards got off to a bit of a rocky start between Ricky Gervais' monologue and whatever Jonah Hill's bear from "The Revenant" said while presenting Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture.

Kate Winslet put things back on track accepting for her role in "Steve Jobs." Talented actresses Maura Tierney and Rachel Bloom followed for their roles in television series "The Affair" and "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend."

Other early winners include Oscar Isaac for the HBO movie, "Show Me A Hero" and Jon Hamm for his last season on "Mad Men." Matt Damon pulled out a surprise win for his role in "The Martian," which was deemed a comedy by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.
