Mariah Carey was rushed to the hospital early Wednesday morning after showing signs of severe dehydration and falling ill with a severe case of the flu, as HNGN previously reported. As a singer with arguably one of the hottest Christmas songs of all times, it had people wondering if she would be okay to perform for all of the festive holiday events coming up, and thankfully, she's doing much better and will be able to sing "All I Want For Christmas Is You" this weekend after all!

"Unfortunately, Mariah had been feeling under the weather with the flu over the past few days and was fighting it to the best of her abilities," her rep told Entertainment Weekly. "She is doing well now and will be performing as scheduled this weekend. She thanks her lambs for the continued support and well wishes."

While appearing at the Pier1 Christmas Pop Up Storybook launch in New York City Tuesday night, prior to her hospitalization, Cary did mention that she was feeling a bit under the weather, but that didn't stop her from continuing on as best she could. She went about her business, as usual, and handled it like "the ultimate professional," a rep for the event told People. Carey even talked about her excitement for the holidays.

"I love a white Christmas. I love a snowy Christmas, so Aspen is my go-to. I'm going this year," she also told People. "It's a tradition. I've been going there a long time." As for what she'd love to wear for the upcoming events, she says, "Something sparkly and festive!"

Her next performance will be at the Hot 97 Hot For The Holidays show at Newark's Prudential Center on Saturday, and she will then start her five-day holiday run at New York City's Beacon Theater next week.
