The 89th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade will feature favorite performers for everyone in the family as stars like Mariah Carey, Shawn Mendes, Pat Benatar and Andy Grammer usher good ol' Santa Claus into Herald Square in New York City.

The longtime Thanksgiving tradition will also feature performances by Broadway's most popular musical this season during NBC's live broadcast starting at 9 a.m. The world-famous Radio City Rockettes will literally kick things off followed by "Fiddler on the Roof," "Finding Neverland," "The King & I," "On Your Feet!" and "Something Rotten" as well as a special preview of NBC's "The Wiz Live!"

The parade will feature four new giant character balloons that the kids will love. The Angry Birds' Red could knock down any obstruction that gets in its way while Scrat from "Ice Age" will chase his acorn through the streets of Manhattan. The classic green DINO by Sinclair will take flight, and Ronald McDonald will launch his fourth whimsical giant balloon.

New floats rolling down the street will include "Big City Cheer!" by Spirit of America Productions, "The Colonel's Road Trip to NYC" by Kentucky Fried Chicken, "The Cranberry Cooperative" by Ocean Spray, "Discover Adventure!" by Build-A-Bear, "Heartwarming Holiday Countdown" by Hallmark Channel and The Peanuts will celebrate the 50th anniversary of "A Charlie Brown Christmas" with a "Snoopy's Doghouse" float.

Other special performances include The Roots' Questlove with the cast and Muppets of "Sesame Street," the cast of Broadway's "School of Rock" and Chica and the gang from "Sprout."

The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade 2015 will air on Thursday, Nov. 26 from 9 a.m. to noon ET on NBC.
