Mariah Carey was rushed to a New York hospital in the early hours of Wednesday morning after starting to feel sick Tuesday night. The 45-year-old singer is currently getting pumped with fluids and vitamins to try and fight off the flu, which has left her severely dehydrated and ill, according to TMZ. Once her team realized how sick she had become in such a short amount of time, they made the call to get her emergency treatment.

It all started following an appearance at Pier 1 in New York City on Tuesday night. The hospitalization has caused extra concern for the singer because she has a huge performance this upcoming Saturday at Hot 97's "Hot For The Holidays" concert in New Jersey. Sources have said that she will be fine, though, and could even be released later today.

While it is unclear if Carey is still in the hospital or not, this afternoon she did send out a few tweets. "Went to the #pier1popup party," she wrote. "Now I'm feeling festive and ready to decorate."

Last week, Carey, who recently started dating billionaire James Packer, stepped out at the 89th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade looking better than ever after a 45-pound weight loss. "Mariah is gearing up to become a billionaire's wife and has already started referring to herself as 'billionairess,'" a source told Radar. "The new photos on Thanksgiving suggest that she has lost at least 45 pounds. She looks incredible."
