The home side crushed South Africa in first Test, played at Mohali, by 108 runs on Nov. 7. Both teams settled for a draw in second test played at Bangalore due to rain and a wet outfield.

India is now aiming for unassailable 2-0 lead against South Africa in the four match series.  On the other hand, the visitors are eyeing a comeback.

"We pride ourselves on that - that we're a resilient team, that we never back down from a challenge," South African all rounder JP Duminy said, according to Sportal. "We know it's a tough challenge for us but we also know we have the capability of facing those challenges. We've done it before. We've come here and played well in all."

South African pace bowler Dale Steyn, who missed the second Test due to injury, remained doubtful for Nagpur Test too.

"At the moment we only have three fit seamers in Morne Morkel, Kagiso Rabada and Abbott. We want to be prepared in case one of the three breaks down," South African coach Russell Domingo said on Monday, according to AFP.
