The second Test of the three-match series between host Australia and New Zealand will be played at Western Australia Cricket Association (WACA) Ground in Perth Friday.

The home side defeated New Zealand in the first Test played at the iconic Gabba ground last week and is ahead in the three-match series by 1-0. It is now seeking to secure the series by winning the second Test.

"For us now it's about getting back to Perth... making sure we are backing that performance up. We've started well but we've got to back that up that's the challenge for a young group, to back that up day in, day out," Aussie coach Darren Lehmann said ahead of the match, according to AFP.

New Zealand skipper Brendon McCullum vowed to fight back, asserting that the Black Caps have "a lot of steel and a lot of resolve."

"We weren't at our best in Brisbane, hands down, we were outplayed by a team which was far better than we were in the game. We have done some pretty special things over the last little while. This team has got a lot of steel and a lot of resolve about it. I am not saying we are going to go out and win this Test match because we may not. Australia may be too good for us," he told reporters in a pre-match briefing, according to Sydney Morning Herald.
