On Tuesday, MTV announced who would be performing at this year's VMAs, but they left two performers a mystery, releasing only their shadows with a question mark over it. Now, as promised, they have released who the male image was and it turns out Justin Bieber will be making his VMA comeback.

A lot of people assumed it was Bieber based on the outline of the shadow, but now it has been officially confirmed. "Get ready!" MTV tweeted. "@JustinBieber is back. Don't miss his performance at the 2015 #VMAs this Sunday at 9/8c #BieberIsBack." They also added in a video that goes back and forth between a black and white clip of fangirls screaming and Bieber posing for the camera in front of their now famous lime green screen.

Justin then tweeted and posted the news to Instagram himself with a hilarious promo photo of the shows host, Miley Cyrus, with pictures of Bieber's face as pasties. "Only @mileycyrus," he wrote. "Lol. It's true. I'm performing on the #vmas !! #bieberisback :)"

With his new, and highly anticipated son "What Do You Mean" coming out in two days, MTV has confirmed that this is what he will be performing. He's been promoting the single like crazy over the past month, having tons of celebrities posing with signs that say how many days are left until the release along with, "Justin Bieber What Do You Mean?"

Bieber first made his VMA stage appearance back in 2010, just a year after he attended for the first time. During this performance, he sang a mashup of his hit songs "Baby," "U Smile," and "Somebody To Love." After he was nominated three times in 2012 for his song "Boyfriend," he kind of disappeared in the music scene, until now. His latest song "Where Are U Now" with Skrillex and Diplo is nominated for four awards this year.

While the mystery female performer will not be announced until sometime tomorrow, in the comment section of MTV's Instagram photo there is a lot of speculation that it could be Selena Gomez and that would be just perfect.
