Selena Gomez posted a sexy selfie on her Instagram page yesterday morning, almost as a reminder that she's all grown up now, E! News reported. The photo was posted shortly after Gomez was quoted in the U.K.'s Sunday Times, stating that she would appreciate it if everyone would move on from her public break up with fellow pop star Justin Bieber - because she has.
In the racy photo, the "Good for You" singer holds her iPhone up to the mirror while wearing a white-ribbed tank top rolled up to reveal her flat stomach. Her hair is pulled up in a messy top knot and her barely-there leopard print underwear peeks out just slightly from the bottom edge of the frame. She captioned the photo simply, "morning." Gomez complained that the media can't let go of the fact that she dated pop star Justin Bieber when she was a teenager, according to Entertainment Tonight. Now that she's 23, she's ready to move on and make her own name for herself in the music industry. "It's difficult for people to separate us," Gomez told the Sunday Times. "The Internet wants to freeze this moment in time and constantly repeat it." After the story was published online, the former Disney star went on a mini-Twitter rant, expressing her disappointment that news outlets still link her to her ex-boyfriends instead of focusing on her art. "Disappointing seeing interviews I've done recently that sound like the exact same interview I did when I was 16," Gomez tweeted. "I just want to release the album already... I'm ready for people to know who I am NOW." Gomez is currently promoting the release of her upcoming album, "Revival," which is scheduled for an October 9 release, according to the Huffington Post. She is also speculated to be one of the yet-to-be-announced performers at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday. Fans have been commenting on MTV's recent Instagram post teasing the announcement.
