Aleah and Honey used to live in muddy old drain pipes before they were rescued by Dogs Deserve Better. The two, together with other dogs, were placed in animal shelters and homes.

But much work is still needed to help them come out of their shell and learn that people are kind and compassionate. They also need to experience and get used to living in a house. The dogs needed to be spayed, vaccinated, dewormed and be treated. Their skin condition needed much attention and care because of the effect of the mud.

Honey was diagnosed with a skin infection and needed treatment on her extremely long toes/webbed feet, Griffin Mud Dogs posted on their Facebook page. They also added that the dogs could already run around the plush green grass and looked extremely happy.

A fundraiser page was opened for the two in order to help them achieve a full life and get a perfect family. They also need to be spayed and have booster shots.

Dogs Deserve Better said that their medical expenses would reach $1,040 including spays, vaccines, treat skin infections, fecal testing, and others. As of this posting, the fundraiser page has over $1,000 donations.
