Kanye West announced his girlfriend, Kim Kardashian is expecting their baby at a concert Sunday referring to Kardashian as his "baby mama."
West made the surprising announcement to a crowd of 50,000 people on Sunday.
"[Kanye's announcement] was a surprise!" a source close to Kardashian tells Us Weekly just hours after West made the big reveal during a concert at Atlantic City's Revel Resort.
According to the source, the couple were still "deciding when to announce and if she could hide it. She's not big or showing at all."
Kardashian is three months pregnant. In her celebrity blog, Kardashian confirmed the news Monday.
"It's true!! Kanye and I are expecting a baby. We feel so blessed and lucky and wish that in addition to both of our families, his mom and my dad could be here to celebrate this special time with us," she wrote.
Shortly after West's announcement, family members took to their twitter account to reveal their excitement.
"Been wanting to shout from the rooftops with joy and now I can! Another angel to welcome to our family," tweeted Kourtney Kardashian. "Keeping secrets is hard with so many family members! Especially when you are so freaking excited! Love is everything!"
"I'm excited for Kanye and my sister! There's nothing like bringing life into this world! Let's keep God's blessings coming!" the "X-Factor" co-host's husband, Lamar Odom, added.
In September, Kardashian said in her interview with "The View" that she wanted to have kids with West.
"At the space that I am in life now, kids are definitely something I want," she said. "I think I wanted that before. I think I fell in love so quickly and wanted that to be my life so badly but I just didn't take the time to find someone."
