Having trouble getting pregnant? There's a new app that may help you calculate the best date to conceive a child.
Glow, is a free iPhone app that collets information and monitors factors that may be inhibiting a couple from conceiving a baby. Max Levchin, co-founder of PayPal, along with Glow app CEO Mike Huang have launched a new app to help couples who are struggling to get pregnant, both scientifically and financially, according to Time magazine.
"The app provides advice about how to maximize the chances of pregnancy, going beyond the technical issues to involve features like the ability to order flowers or make a reservation for a nice dinner," Time reports.
The app takes all the information you input into consideration, and will advise a couple to see a doctor if it thinks there is a medical condition lowering your chances of conceiving. The goal of the app is to double your chances of getting pregnant.
For couples who can't conceive no matter what the timing, the Glow First fund is giving couples financial help in order to cover the costs of expensive fertility treatments.
The app users may opt to contribute $50 a month for up to 10 months to the fund. If the couple doesn't get pregnant within that time, they will receive money to help pay for treatment costs, according to Time.
The company aims to eventually be able to cover the entire cost of the treatments, which can range for $20,000 to $40,000. The company will not pocket any of the money from the Glow First fund.
"Within 18 months or less, we should have a good idea of whether we're on the right track or not," Huang told Time.
The app is a very ambitious idea, but the amount of babies conceived will be a testament to its success.
