Recently, a set of pictures from the set of 2016's "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" were uploaded to imgur.com by a user known as jbingles. Although the images have since been taken down, fans were quick enough to pick up on some key details from the pictures.

Warning: The following contains possible spoilers for "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice."

The images reportedly featured the Wayne family mausoleum at Wayne Manor. One of the tombstones included Richard John Grayson, who was the first Robin and eventually became Nightwing.

This new version of the Dark Knight is rumored to have been operating for almost 20 years before going into semi-retirement by the time "Batman V Superman" begins. The second Robin, Jason Todd, was thought to have met his demise during that time, however, now it appears that it was Grayson all along. Of course, this is all still unconfirmed, but it would make sense.

Ben Affleck's Batman is thought to be a more battle tested vigilante who has suffered through deep personal loss. In addition to Robin, Batman is rumored to have also lost other close and personal allies, perhaps at the hands of The Joker. This would also fit with the rumors that The Joker and Harley Quinn are estranged in "Suicide Squad" because of Robin's murder. This type of serious content and dark tone really confirms the DC Cinematic Universe as the polar opposite of Marvel's shared movie universe.

If true, director Zack Snyder is adhering more to the source material which comic book fans may enjoy but casual viewers may not understand. Whether or not these rumors are confirmed in the film will be interesting to see.
