Microsoft is not only introducing cool stuff for its Windows 8 but is also reinventing applications for its previous version 'Windows 7'.  It released a developer Preview of Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 7, Thursday.

Microsoft introduced the Internet Explorer 11 Developer's Preview for Windows 7, which include many features and functionality from the Windows Blue default browser. The improvement will allow Windows users to enjoy the latest IE11 in Windows 7, too. The updated browser that debuted Thursday is available for download. But the developer preview is mostly comprehensible to tech savvy developers and an average user must wait for the full release.

Microsoft has promised faster processing time than any other competitive browser in the market including Chrome and Firefox. Roger Capriotti, Microsoft's marketing director for Internet Explorer, said that IE11, in terms of performance, will have better load intervals and better usage, but will not include the modern interface like the IE10 on Windows 7, reports CNET News.

The Internet Explorer 11 is the first to use the W3C Resource Priorities standard which allows developers to choose parts of the web page that must be loaded first, Sandeep Singhal and Rob Mauceri, group program managers for IE, wrote in a blog post.

Microsoft noted that the latest browser is a leader in JavaScript performance with an improvement of 4 percent from its older version and nearly 30 percent faster than any competitive browser. The IE11 also includes WebGL, a new web technology that allows web developers to create 2D and 3D experiences. It also promises better quality video experiences on the web, without draining the battery, as it does not store caches on the disk while downloading video content.

Microsoft also shows the speed of IE11 with a Lite Brite screen test. The IE11 has the best score of 4.04 seconds to load the graphical IE logo. In a live test on a Windows 7 PC, IE10 scored 12.47 seconds compared to Chrome 28's 36.37 seconds.
