Manchester United currently sits in third place in the Barclays Premier League, but that won't stop them from making personnel changes during the summer transfer window. The departure of Radamel Falcao will likely be one of those changes, but where will he end up when his loan expires?

The Red Devils inked Falcao on a loan from AS Monaco back in September, but the striker has not been all that impressive for his new club. He has just four goals and four assists in 16 Premier League and FA Cup games since joining Man U and is unlikely to remain in Old Trafford, but it's been said he's "keen on staying in England," according to the Metro.

His next home could be in Anfield after it was reported Falcao's agent was in negotiations with Liverpool regarding a £25.1million deal because Monaco wants to sell the striker. Liverpool is entrenched with rumors surrounding Raheem Sterling's departure and they've struggled offensively for much of the year. The club's +11 goal differential isn't close to that of Man U, Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea - those ahead of Liverpool on the Premier League table.

"Falcao has been repeatedly linked with a move to Merseyside as his sorry season has worn on, and with Mario Balotelli, Rickie Lambert and Fabio Borini all destined for the Anfield chop this summer, a trio of sales could open up funds for a full-time move," according to ESPNFC.

"With Sterling's future uncertain, Daniel Sturridge's injury concerns ongoing, [Rickie] Lambert making no impact and [Mario] Balotelli's struggles, the Reds are in desperate need of reinforcements in the summer and believe Falcao could be the answer," adds Simon Rice of the Independent.

It's important to remember Falcao is coming off major knee surgery after tearing his ACL last January. The matches he has played with Manchester United consists of the majority of the action he's seen since the procedure (he logged three matches with Monaco before the loan). He's likely still getting used to being on the field and becoming acclimated to game speed, so Liverpool may be on the verge of executing an advantageous move.

Next year's Falcao is likely to be much different than this year's Falcao.
