Kathy Bates will return to "American Horror Story" for a third time.

Creator Ryan Murphy confirmed the Oscar-winning actress' casting on Twitter along with a possible clue as to her role in the "AHS: Hotel."

Bates first joined the franchise in the third season "Coven" as the socialite serial killer, Marie Delphine LaLaurie, for which she won an Emmy. She returned the next season for "Freak Show" as Ethel Darling, the bearded lady.

She joins "AHS" newcomers Lady Gaga, Cheyenne Jackson and Wes Bentley, as well as "American Horror Story: Asylum" star Chloë Sevigny and Matt Bomer, who appeared in one episode of "Freak Show."

"American Horror Story: Hotel," the fifth installment of the FX anthology series, will return in October.
