Alicia Silverstone is getting back to work, after giving birth and immersing herself in such projects as a breast milk sharing campaign among vegan mothers.
She's putting down the Medela pump and teaming up with Sex and the City veteran Darren Star to film the pilot for Lifetime's new show HR, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Star will be director and executive producer of the new show, which features Silvertone as uptight human resources boss Ellen Bell. Bell is hell-bent on changing up the normal practices observed within the corporate working world, and coaxes businesses in her sector to work toward new goals and more modern ambitions.
In the pilot, some are satisfied with Bell's fresh approach to business as a woman in a male-dominated company. Others are threatened by it, creating a conflict that tests work both in the office and out of it.
The project, written by Glenn Porter (I Melt With You) and co-produced by Aaron Kaplan's Kapital Entertainment, (Terra Nova, The Neighbors, GCB), will also be produced with Michael Lohmann.
Star is most known for his work on SATC, but also produced the CW's 90210 revisited, Melrose Place and Cashmere Mafia.
Silverstone has been largely out of the spotlight since she had her 2-year-old son, Bear Blu Jarecki. But most recently, the new mom started Kind Mama Milk Share, a group that seeks out healthy mothers who want to share their milk supply with other mothers who might not be able to breastfeed their children.
