Henry Cavill is a single man once again. The "Man of Steel" actor and his girlfriend Kaley Cuoco reportedly ended their quickie relationship after two weeks of dating, US Weekly reports. there's no explanation about what led to the split but a source told the magazine that the two are still  friendly.

"Things fizzled as quickly as they heated up," a source told US Weekly. "They are still friends."

Cavill and Cuoco met at a Hollywood party in June. The "Fifty Shades of Grey" fan-favorite had just gotten out of a relationship with actress Gina Carano in May. Cuoco herself had also just ended her relationship with musician Bret Bollinger.

Cavill running into Cuoco seemed to be perfect timing for the actor who a source said always wanted to date the "Big Bang Theory" actress adding that he was a huge fan of the show.

Two days after it was reported that Cavill and Cuoco were dating they were spotted going hiking together and was photographed holding hands as they went grocery shopping. They seemed to make a really cute couple. When they first started dating a source told US Weekly that they were "totally hot for each other" and if the pictures of them together were anything to go by it sure did seem like they were smitten with each other.

At first it seemed the two were trying to keep their relationship a secret but Cuoco hinted at the romance when she posted a tweet of her gazing at a "Man of Steel" poster urging her followers to go and see the movie.

"It's fantastic in every single way," she tweeted.

"Fifty Shades of Grey" fans were even excited about the romance. Cavill has been a top contender to play Christian Grey in the movie. After learning the British actor had a new love interest fans immediately began hinting at whether the blonde beauty could play opposite Cavill as his love interest, Anastasia Steele.
