Kick Ass 2 News: Jessie J Records new Hit for Soundtrack; Chloe Moretz Talks about Returning as Hit-Girl

British Pop Artist Jessie Jay has confirmed through a Twitter interview with fans that a new single will be on the “Kick Ass 2” soundtrack, according to the MTV News UK website.

One fan simply asked if the “Price Tag” singer had created a song for the soundtrack.

She tweeted the response, "YES this is true! Finally something that's trueeeee! It's called Hero."

During the same Twitter Q&A session Jessie also alluded to the release of her new single “Daydreaming.”

"It’s very 80s. It’s a very Prince-y, Whitney vibe. That’s one of my favorites. I think it’s gonna be one of the best ones to sing live,” she recently said in interview with MTV UK.

She called the song one of her “personal favorites” off her LP.

“Hero” will be sure to add to the excitement the second “Kick-Ass” movie is supposed to bring.

The movie will once again star Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Kick Ass and Chloe Moretz as Hit-Girl. It will also star Jim Carrey as Colonel Stars and Stripes.

Moretz recently did an interview with the magazine Movie Magic, in which she discussed returning to once again beat up bad guys as Hit-Girl, according to ComicBookMovie.com. She talked about how both she and her character have grown.

"The obvious difference is that I'm older now, and the difference between 11 and 15, which is how old I was when we finished, is that you're a different person, obviously," she said. “What [Director Jeff Wadlow] and I really wanted to improve was the real heart of it, because I wanted to show that this girl didn't have a father anymore and how much that affected her. She's really confused and going through the self-torture of, 'Am I killing people because this is what I was raised to believe was a good thing, or am I just murdering people?' I wanted to show this inner pain and struggle, and the fact that she's lost her only family, her father. I wanted to show this darker side to her, and I also wanted to make the action a little bit different. So we basically scrapped the guns. I do use guns a little bit in the movie, but we basically do hand-to-hand combat and it's just a lot more hands-on."

“Kick-Ass 2” hits theaters August 16.
