There's nothing like watching the 4th of July fireworks in New York City. This year's 37th annual fireworks display is sure to be a treat since R&B sensation Usher will be curating the show titled "It All Begins With a Sparkle."
Amy Kule, executive producer of Macy's 4th of July fireworks said she promises the show will be a "giant party in the sky captivating audiences along the Hudson River and on television screens across the country."
The show is scheduled to begin around 9:20 p.m. and will last about 20 minutes. To help make this a memorable holiday, check out some of the best places to watch the NYC fireworks.
West Side Highway
If you arrive early enough you could score a great place to park and an excellent view of the fireworks. The northbound lanes from 22nd street to 55th street will be closed for people to view the fireworks.
12th Avenue
People can also get a free view of the fireworks from certain spots along 12th Avenue between West 24th and 59th streets. Access to 12th Avenue is going to be limited and will probably get crowded so arrive early to get a good spot to stand.
There is a number of rooftop bars located nearby that will give you an excellent view of the show as well.

With the purchase of a ticket people can view the skyline and fireworks from the 86th floor of the Empire State Building. Tickets are limited however, so it would be best to get a ticket as early as possible.
NYC Water Taxi

Watch the fireworks right from the water by taking a trip on a NYC Water Taxi. Tickets are $165 a person and include hors d'oeuvres, wraps, sandwiches, salads, snacks and a cash bar. The taxis depart from the South Street Seaport and will stop in the New York Harbor as the show begins. Taxis board at 6:40 p.m. and returns around 11 p.m.

This is also a good place to check out the fireworks. Tickets are still available and start at $27 but it's likely it will be crowded and tickets are expected to go fast.
