David Beckham Posts Candid Photo of Victoria Smiling for Once

Poker-faced Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham has been captured with a rare smile. Her husband David Beckham posted the picture on his Facebook page with the caption "See I told you she smiles." The photograph of the smiling Victoria Beckham has been liked by 399,931 people at last count.

39-year-old Victoria Beckham, who is looked upon as a style icon, can throw media photographers into a clicking frenzy whenever she makes an appearance, but she always poses with a serious expression. Last year, Telegraph quoted from an interview that Victoria Beckham gave to German magazine Interview, where she defended her miserable expression. "Yes, I created this persona and I'm very different from that," she said. "I don't feel like I have to scream and shout about it - I know I am a happy person. So I don't get upset when people comment on the fact that I look quite miserable all the time."

Victoria Beckham has said in interviews that she gets why people would think she's glum all the time after looking at her photographs. "Oh, my God, I even agree. I look at pictures of myself and I think 'You look so moody.' I get it, I get it," she said to ELLE Canada. "But I really do laugh quite a lot. My team make me laugh. My kids make me laugh. We were driving around in the car the other day and Cruz wanted to listen to the Spice Girls, and afterwards he said, 'Mommy, why is it all you ever did was sing background?" She added, "I like to have a laugh. You know, I've been called comedy gold. I'm just saying."

The mother of four has also claimed that she really isn't the diva that she appears to be. "Some people are so blasé about having an extraordinary life. But David and I never take anything for granted. I think it's very cool to still get excited about things. I get as excited now as I ever did when I get a chauffeur driven car pick me up and I stay in a fantastic hotel or get to fly in a private plane. I never want to get blasé," she told Marie Claire in 2010.
