CNN’s Erin Burnett Pregnant With Baby Number 1

On the personal news front, CNN anchor Erin Burnett is expecting her first child with husband David Rubulotta. The news was confirmed to People by a representative of CNN. "I can confirm that Erin Burnett and her husband David Rubulotta are expecting their first child in November. They are both very excited," said the rep.

"I'm so excited - we've always wanted this and we're very lucky," added Burnett.

The 36-year-old Burnett is currently host of "Erin Burnett OutFront" on CNN. When the show launched in 2011, she said in a Forbes interview, "We will do original reporting, we will be out in the field, we will own issues we care about. That's being 'Outfront' in everything we do. The audience will know there are topics and types of stories we care a lot about." Her previous assignments include a co-anchor spot on CNBC's "Squawk on the Street". She has also made appearances on "Meet the Press", "The Today Show" and "NBC Nightly News".

Burnett tied the knot with Rubulotta, a managing director at Citigroup, in December and had been engaged to him for over a year. They met in 2004 on a blind date. The couple got married in New York City at City Hall in a ceremony that was officiated by a Justice of the Peace. "We're very casual. I love how at City Hall people come in everything from wedding gowns to jeans. It's so mellow and chill, just how we like it," she said to People magazine at that time. She added that the couple got married at Christmastime because it's their favorite time of the year.

Burnett shared the news of her pregnancy on Facebook with a link to the article in People and acknowledged the congratulatory comments that came in. "Thank you all for the well-wishes!!! We'll keep you posted on any future #OutFront baby news!" said her comment. The later posts on the page were all back to business - DOW's worst day of the year so far, Taliban's offer to release a U.S. prisoner in exchange for five of theirs, the George Zimmerman trial and James Gandolfini's death.
