Filming for "Avengers: Age of Ultron" wrapped in August, but Jeremy Renner is suiting up again as his character Hawkeye.

Renner posted a silhouette drawing of the S.H.I.E.L.D. agent on his WhoSay account with the caption, "Tues. morn. I find myself in costume again. I just can't tell you why. And it still fits!"

The "Avengers" sequel opens in theaters on May 1 with premiere screenings happening in the weeks prior. The 43-year-old actor may be simply filming reshoots, a likely scenario given a recent report that director Joss Whedon asked much of the cast to "re-assemble" for two weeks in London this month.

According to the Daily Mail, cast members Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Paul Bettany, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Hiddleston and Renner were asked in November to be available "to film additional scenes at Pinewood Studios."

The reshoots may not require all of the actors, but Whedon sent the memo requiring the stars to keep their schedules open just in case.

Another possibility for Renner suiting up again could be a special guest appearance on the Marvel TV show "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." The ABC series and the Marvel Cinematic Universe are connected and executive producer Jed Whedon has confirmed "S.H.I.E.L.D." will play into the new "Avengers" film.

"You should expect something," executive producer Jed Whedon told Entertainment Weekly last month about a potential tie-in. "'The Avengers' is the big tent that all the franchises play under. Obviously, we're included in that."

Renner has expressed interest in making a guest spot on the show and sharing the screen again with his former "Avengers" co-star Clark Gregg, who plays Agent Phil Coulson.

"I'm sure the folks at Marvel have ideas, and when they're strong enough, they'll bring 'em to me," Renner said during a Reddit AMA in October. "But I love me some Clark Gregg, he's so great. We killed him and brought him back to life to do Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., he's so good!"

An appearance by Hawkeye could also play into Bobbie Morse a.k.a. Mockingbird's (Adrianne Palicki) storyline as the two S.H.I.E.L.D. agents share a romantic history in the Marvel Comics. She's currently entangled with her other ex-husband Lance Hunter on the show.

"The interesting thing is her relationship with Hawkeye did happen. It's a big part of the character. I'm interested to see if that ever comes up or is brought to light or is mentioned in the future," Palicki told Zap2It in November. "That would be awesome. ... She gets divorced a lot."

A third option for a Hawkeye appearance, put forth by ComicBook.com, could be on one of Marvel's new Netflix series. This theory is a little less likely since filming for "Daredevil" has already wrapped and "A.K.A. Jessica Jones" has yet to begin.
