A man found out that he and his two eskimo dogs were next to a bear after going through remnants of a glacier in Alaska's Chugach National Forest on Saturday.

Michael Glidden saw that the animal was nearby when he saw a peculiar figure in the photo he took from inside the natural creation according to KTUU.

Glidden originally placed his camera down to take a picture of the cave, but he could not tell what he was shooting at first.

"Very cozy in there, actually," Glidden who remembered that the natural creation was 10 degrees hotter than the outside air, told KTUU. "My puppy darted out."

Glidden said that he would have never walked towards the bear if he saw the animal first.

"It was a great honor to be that close," he told KTUU.
