According to an article from ABC News/Good Morning America, "Jimmy Kimmel Live" writer Jeff Loveness will write a three-part crossover arc featuring Spider-Man, Captain America, and the Inhumans. The tale will be told in next year's "Amazing Spider-Man Special" #1, "Inhuman Special" #1, and "All-New Captain America" #1.

"I truly feel lucky. It's not often you get to write something you've always wanted to write," Loveness said. "It's a 4-year-old's dream to write Spider-Man. I actually get to do it. I cannot complain about anything for the rest of my life."

The story proper gets underway when Medusa, Queen of the Inhumans, calls on Sam Wilson, the newly christened Captain America, to aid her in defending New Attilan from a host of nasty beasties.

The 26-year-old Loveness has worked for Marvel previously. He penned "Death of Wolverine: Life after Logan" #1, but this crossover arc is quite an epic challenge considering the width and breadth of the Marvel Universe.

"I feel very lucky, because we are catching these characters all at interesting points in their tenure," he said. "There's this new Captain America, who is more than up for the job, but at the same time, there's a huge amount of pressure to live up to the icon that proceeded him. There is always going to be this thought in the back of his head, not to mess up ... The Inhumans, especially now that the movie is coming out in 2018, they have always been around, but almost like supporting characters to the Fantastic Four. It's really cool to see them come into their own."

The story begins in "Amazing Spider-Man Special" #1, on sale February 11, followed by "Inhuman Special" #1 on April 1, and concluding in "All-New Captain America Special" #1 on May 6.
