It has been confirmed that Colm Feore will be cast as Adrian Toomes, or The Vulture, in “Amazing Spider-Man 2,” according to Comic Book Movie.
Along with Rhino, Electro and the Green Goblin, The Vulture helps make up the first four of the Sinister Six. This could mean Sony Pictures is preparing for a third installment.
According to CBM, Chris Cooper has already been seen as the Green Goblin shooting a fighting scene with Spider Man. The two enemies are expected to battle at the movie’s highpoint which will probably lead to the demise of Emma Stone’s character, Gwen Stacy.
According to WhatCulture.com, it might be better for Director Marc Webb to take his time with the series. Therefore, keeping Adrian Toomes simply as Adrian Toomes for this movie could be in Sony’s best interest.
Some of you may know Feore from NBC’s Revolution. He played swindler and patriot Randall Flynn, so Feore has some experience being the bad guy.
Jamie Foxx, also known as Electro in “Amazing Spider Man 2”, did a recent interview in May about his new role.
“Oh, man ― it’s so much fun. The costume is great. They were very creative with it. … It’s part of a remarkable legacy: Spider-Man. I mean, when you’re growing up as a kid, you know, that’s everything. So to be able to be in that is just amazing,” he said in an interview with Yahoo! Movies. “Marc Webb is a genius, and Amy Pascal and everybody at Sony have just been so gracious to allow me to have this opportunity. So it’s cool.”
And that’s exactly what we hope, at a minimum, this movie will be—cool.
Amazing Spider Man 2 will hit theaters May 2, 2014.
