Apple WWDC 2013 Keynote Event Livestream: Where to Watch and What to Expect from Apple's Big Conference

Apple's highly-anticipated World Wide Developer's Conference kicks off today at 1 p.m. ET when CEO Tim Cook takes the stage for the keynote address. You can watch the event's live stream HERE, as long as you have a Mac and a Safari web browser that is running 4 or higher.

9to5Mac reports the most likely development Apple Inc. will be focusing on is its new iOS 7. A banner with a large number seven on it was hung up in the Moscone Center in San Francisco earlier this week, hinting to many the new flatter and less textured design that chief design engineer John Ive has been working is finally ready to be unveiled to the public.

The new design is expected to be flatter and simpler. They've reportedly wanted to get rid of a lot of the textures that attempt to make things on the iPhone, iPad and iPod look like real objects. For example, the notepad will no longer look like a yellow piece of paper and the games application will no longer have a casino design.

In addition, the company is expected to launch new Macs and a Mac OSX 10.9 update. This will likely include updates to the Finder window, which will allow tags and tabbed browsing as well as an updated version of the Safari web browser.

This could also pave the way for new Macs. There's been a lot of speculation that an update to the Macbook Air, which could debut at the WWDC with an updated Wi-Fi chip, which allows users to download files and steam video more easily and quickly. It's also rumored to have better battery life.

Earlier this week, Apple made a deal with Sony for the rights to the music in its library. Sony joins Universal and Warner Music Group to give Apple Inc. access to the top three companies. This has made many think Apple's long rumored music streaming radio service, nicknamed iRadio, ready to be unveiled. Although the deal came late last week, it's possible an announcement is ready for the keynote speech.

It's possible the iPhone 5S and iPhone 6 will finally be announced Monday. However, Cook has said publicly on a few occasions said Apple is not planning to release any new devices until September. However, with iOS 7 being announced, it's possible that news of a new iOS will be followed by at least some news of a new device to launch it on.
