Sarah Jones: Former Cheerleader Engaged To Cody York, The Teen She Was Convicted Of Sleeping With When He Was A Minor

Former teacher and cheerleader for the Bengal Tigers is getting married to a student she was convicted of having sex with according to Radar Online.

Sarah Jones was 27-years-old when she "pleaded guilty to felony custodial interference and misdemeanor sexual misconduct" for sleeping with then 17-year-old Cody York.

The plea deal allowed the cheerleader to avoid jail time and she is prohibited from teaching or coaching children. Jones was also placed on probation and requires clearance for interviews and trips.

The couple reportedly got engaged in Florida in the presence of family. According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, York made the announcement via Facebook. There have been no reports of a wedding date or if the engagement is a violation of Jones' probation.

Jones is currently working as a part-time paralegal for attorney Eric Deters. Deters acted as Jones' attorney in her sexual misconduct case.

"I fully support Sarah and Cody," Deters told the Cincinnati Enquirer. "And if they ant to get married and live happily ever after or not, who knows? Nobody ever knows how marriage turns out. I wish them all the best."

Despite the engagement to her once inappropriate lover, Jones is still in the mist of legal battles regarding the 2009 case.

The cheerleading teacher turn paralegal is accusing a website, The Dirty, for defamation of character. Jones said the site accused her of having sex "with every Bengals player and probably had two sexually transmitted diseases." She's seeking $11 million.
