Fans of ABC's "Mistresses" were shocked when actress Alyssa Milano abruptly announced that she wouldn't be returning for Season 3. Milano's news came one day after the network announced the show had been renewed.

Season two ended on a cliffhanger for Milano's character, Savi. She was attending a wedding for her sister Joss (played by Jes Macallan) when she stumbled across Joss and her ex-husband Harry (played by Brett Tucker) possibly sharing a romantic moment.

Entertainment Weekly caught up with the actress to find out what's in store for Season 3, and how ABC plans on removing her character from the storyline.

"I don't know what is happening with that - I just know that I am not going back," Milano said. "I don't know how they're going to wrap it up."

"They're either going to need me to come, or they're going to jump-cut it," Milano said.

The 41-year-old former "Charmed" actress said she would be willing to finish up her character's storyline, but only if it was filmed in Los Angeles and did Savi justice.

"I don't think coming back for one episode is really going to do that storyline much justice," she told the magazine. "Okay, so she's going to see them, and then she's going to go off and disappear? Like, she's going to kill herself? I don't see how one episode is going to wrap that up... It's a tricky thing for them."

In October, Milano offered an explanation for her abrupt exit saying that she couldn't move her family to Vancouver, where the studio would film the third season. The actress just gave birth to her second child, Elizabella Dylan, in September and has a 3-year-old son named Milo Thomas.

"After two wonderful seasons in Los Angeles, the studio has decided to shoot season three of 'Mistresses' in Vancouver, Canada for financial reasons," Milano wrote. "It's with a heavy heart that I have decided that I can't relocate. I have two babies under 4. Being a mother and wife comes first and I just cannot uproot my children and separate the family by moving away."

"I will miss this job desperately and wish everyone the absolute best," she added.
