A group of women in the Israeli army have come under fire after posting images of themselves half naked in their fatigues on Facebook.
The Israeli military said on Sunday that all the women have been disciplined for posting pictures revealing their underwear and backsides, using their weapons and fatigues to cover parts that they did not want to show.
The Israeli military called the behavior "unbecoming."
The women were undergoing infantry training and were stationed in southern Israel.
"The commanding officers disciplined the soldier as they saw fitting," it said in a statement.
"The statement did not identify the soldiers or give any details about the punishments," The Times of Israel reported. "Military officials said the base conducted educational lectures to keep soldiers from repeating the offense."
This is not the first time Israel has had this kind of incident regarding the actions of their soldiers.
In 2010, a video of a male Israeli soldier was put on YouTube of him dancing around, what appeared to be, a blindfolded Palestinian woman, in a suggestive manner.
Later that year, photos of a female soldier leaked into the media showing her posing with prisoners.
Following that incident, military officials banned the use of social media sites while on base in order to prevent compromising photos and other content from being on the social media platforms and Internet.
Despite the ban, another soldier was criticized for writing anti-Palestinian tweets and exposing himself, while holding his gun.
Most Jewish Israelis join the military at the age of 18.
The Israel Defense Forces are typically regarded as unique when compared to other armed forces in the world.
"Differences include the conscription of women and its structure, which emphasized close relations between the army, navy, and air force... The IDF is one of the Israeli society's most prominent institutions, influencing the country's economy, culture and political scene."
