EA’s “The Sims 4” has launched a clever way to deter piracy of their latest title.

According to IGN, EA is combatting piracy with pixels. In the “Sims” franchise, pixels appears whenever a Sims character is nude, like in the shower or on the toliet.

In illegal copies, the pixelated area doesn’t go away after the action is performed. The pixels continue to grow in the pirated version until the entire screen is covered.

Pirates will only be able to play the title for a limited time until the pixels take up the screen, and reporting this specific glitch in the game will out them as pirates. It’s a clever attempt to curb piracy and players will probably see more “glitches” like this in pirated games.

Speaking of glitches, EA has already released the first patch for gamers who are experiencing troubles with babies. The “Sims 4” patch fixes the following issues with newborns getting stuck in household items:

1. You can now exit Build Mode when not on your home lot if a baby was incorrectly left in the home lot inventory.
2. Game no longer hangs if you attempt to split a household with a baby on the lot and in the household inventory.
3. Splitting and merging households no longer results in unplayable households due to babies being left in household inventories.
4. Babies are no longer left locked in the household inventory if all the other Sims in the household die.
5. Babies no longer multiply if left in the Household Inventory while editing the lot via Manage Worlds.
