Marvel co-creator Stan Lee may have accidently confirmed to panel attendees at Fan Expo Canada that a “Black Panther” solo film is in development.

Comic Book Resources reports Lee told a panel audience a “Black Widow” film is unlikely at the moment as Marvel is working on other franchise installments.

“We haven’t made a Black Widow movie but she’s been in some of our movies, and she will be featured more prominently as we move forward,” Lee said.

“And the chances are she will have her own movie because eventually all the superheroes are going to have their own movies,” he continued. “They are already working on Ant-Man, Dr. Strange and the Black Panther and there are others I am not allowed to talk about.”

There have been rumors of a “Black Panther” movie, but Marvel had yet to confirm the movie was in production. Marvel President Kevin Feige spoke to IGN back in August about the possibility of Black Panther and Captain Marvel solo films.

“They’re both characters that we like, that development work has been done on and continues to be done on and certainly the public… it’s a question I get asked more than anything else,” Feige told IGN. “More than Iron Man 4. More than The Avengers 3. And that’s sort of the first time that’s really happened to us so I think that makes a difference. I think that’s something we have to pay attention to.”

Though fans have been asking to see both Black Panther and Captain Marvel come to life, Feige remained adamant about not letting outside opinions dictate the direction of Marvel’s film universe.

"I’ve always said we have our plan and it served us very well,” Feige told IGN, “and there hasn’t been anything that has made us deviate or change from that based on opinion because opinions online change and they alter, and they’re based on sort of limited information they have towards what’s going on behind-the-scenes. But in this particular case I think it is a groundswell. I think it does. I think it means something substantial.”
