As rumors continue to circulate around the release date of the next installment in the Samsung Galaxy Note series, sources within the industry are saying the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has an expected release date sometime in the third quarter between July and August, according to DigiTimes.com. The third quarter is also the expect release date of a cheaper version of the Samsung Galaxy S4.
Previous speculation put the Note 3’s launch date sometime between September 6-11, the dates of the IFA 2013 conference in Berlin, Germany.
As of right now rumors on the Note 3’s specs include an even larger screen at 5.99 inches and an Exynos Octa processor, designed by Samsung.
A more recent rumor surrounds the camera that will come with the next Galaxy Note. According to GottaBeMobile.com, the Note 3 is supposed to get an upgrade from the Note 2’s 8 mega-pixel rear camera to a 13 mega-pixel rear camera.
This camera is featured on the new Samsung Galaxy S4. According to speculations, the Galaxy Note 3 is expected to have a design which looks a lot like the Galaxy S4.
AnTuTu Benchmark
The rumor mill stirred recently after what appeared to be the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, appeared on AnTuTu benchmark. A screenshot shows a device identified as GT-N7200—which is presumed to be the Galaxy Note 3—using an Octa-core Exynos 5 processor and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
The processor was running at 1.6 GHz. However according to GSM Arena, “Notes typically have overclocked chipsets compared to their Galaxy S counterparts, so we expect the finished product to be clocked higher than 1.6GHz.”
