"Glee" star Naya Rivera has some very shocking news: she's married! The 27-year-old actress who plays Santana on the Fox show secretly wed longtime friend Ryan Dorsey, who is also an actor. This news comes three months after Rivera and rapper Big Sean ended their six month engagement.
According to People magazine, Rivera and Dorsey said "I do" on July 19 in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico in front of a few family members.
"We feel truly blessed to be joined as husband and wife," the newlyweds told People. "Our special day was fated and everything we could have ever asked for."
The two met four years ago in Los Angeles and have been close friends ever since. After things went south between Rivera and the "Beware" rapper in April, Dorsey and the "Glee" star became a lot closer. For the ceremony, Rivera wore a white, lace Monique Lhuillier gown and Dorsey opted for a Dolce & Gabbana suit.
The two exchanged Neil Lane rings but so far there have not been any pictures of Rivera's diamond sparkler.
"True love always prevails," the actress and her new husband told the magazine.
News of the marriage came as a huge shock since nobody knew Rivera had a new love interest. Back in April, Big Sean's rep confirmed the split saying in a statement:
"After careful thought and much consideration, Sean has made the difficult decision to call the wedding off," the rapper's rep told People back in April.
"The recent rumors and accusations reported by so-called or fake sources are simply untrue. Sean wishes Naya nothing but the best and it is still his hope that they can continue to work through their issues privately. We will not be commenting again on this matter," the rep added.
There were rumors that the rapper had cheated on Rivera. A month before the split, Big Sean told People that he and Rivera were "very deep" into their wedding planning.
