Harrison Ford’s injury won’t delay film, Carrie Fisher’s daughter lands a cameo and more “Star Wars Episode 7” rumors have surfaced online.

Despite the rumors of a production delay, “Star Wars Episode 7” production reportedly remaisn on schedule for a December 2015 release. The Latino Review reports Disney CEO Bob Iger won’t delay the film despite Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy and director J.J. Abrams pushing for a May 4, 2016 launch date.

The movie scoop website claims Iger isn’t willing to budge on the release date and the production will continue despite Ford’s injuries, which are expected to keep him off the set for a rumored six to eight weeks.

The Latino Review also reports Fisher’s daughter Billie Lourd has landed a role in the upcoming Lucasfilm production. Lourd is expected to have a small cameo, but her mother will be reprising her role as Leia Skywalker in the film.

The “Star Wars Episode 7” has kept its plot details under wraps, but MakingStarWars.net speculates about actors John Boyega and Daisy Ridley’s role in the upcoming film.

The “Star Wars” fan site claims sources revealed the possible story line of “Thomas” and “Rachel,” which were the alleged code names for Boyega and Ridley’s roles back when they auditioned for the film:

“We have heard that Thomas starts the film on the side of the villains. Thomas is shot down over Tatooine and he is injured from the crash. The things we heard from Abu Dhabi about a crashed ship is rumored to have been Thomas’ fighter. Rachel rescues him from the wreckage and the elements of the sandy planet. Over the course of their 'unlikely pairing,' Thomas sees the reality of the universe and he defects from the side of the villains and decides to help Rachel for saving his life.”

MakingStarWars.net claimed the “Thomas” and “Rachel” storyline also hints at a possible romance between the characters in the future. However, the plot rumors have not been confirmed by the “Star Wars Episode 7” production.

“Star Wars Episode 7” will be released to theaters on Dec. 18, 2015.
