In November, Chaz Bono decided that he was going on a weight loss journey. He recently announced that he lost another five pounds, bringing his total to 65 pounds.
"I'm feeling really good," Bono told People Magazine. "I'd love to do a 'Dancing with the Stars' all over again. I'd do it much better now than I did it then.
"I'm in a lot less discomfort when I exercise and am doing physical stuff," he said. "All of my numbers are all normal now, which is great - my blood pressure, my cholesterol."
Bono has also said the weight loss journey has been a boost to his confidence and says "I really like what I see in the mirror."
Bono, 44, began working with "The Doctors" co-host Dr. Travis Stork last year, initially weighing in at 250 pounds. Stork told Bono he would have to lose 50 to 80 pounds to achieve better overall health.
The slimmed down Bono showed his new physique at the 300th anniversary celebration for "Dancing with the Stars."
Despite all the success, Bono admits the weight loss is "slowing down now and getting harder" but is determined to continue his new healthy lifestyle.
"To me, it was never really about a number. It was just about getting healthy and feeling and looking better. So I'm just kind of letting my body dictate," Bono told People.
In February, just months after starting the weight loss journey, Bono had told People that he had a lot of cravings which was making this journey difficult.
"[I have no cravings] at all anymore," he said. "I really feel very satisfied and comfortable with the way I eat now, which is amazing and for me, kind of a miracle. I never thought I'd be that kind of person."
