Authorities recovered the body of a Georgia teen floating in a pond nearly 24 hours after her mother reported her missing.

Letia Green, 13, disappeared from her Americus, Georgia, home Saturday afternoon, according to the sheriff's office.

Her bike was recovered Sunday morning, about a half-mile from her home.

Around noon, rescuers discovered Letia's body in a nearby pond, WALB-TV and WMAZ-TV reported.

Foul play is not suspected and authorities are investigating the teen's death as an accidental drowning, the outlets reported, citing the sheriff's office.
