Traffic police officers block the road in the small town of Oktyabr'skoye near Simferopol, on July 22, 2023. A Ukrainian drone attack on Crimea on July 22, 2023, blew up an ammunition depot, sparking evacuations on the Moscow-annexed peninsula and halting rail traffic, just five days after drones damaged Russia's symbolic bridge across the Kerch Strait.

A severe scenario occurred in the beach village of Chornomorske in the occupied Crimea, resulting in individuals sustaining broken bones and causing distress within the community. The chaos began when soldiers, armed with Kalashnikovs, went out of control following the festivities of Russia's Defender of the Fatherland Day, also known as Men's Day.

One woman, who was hospitalized in bad condition, discussed the disturbing experience with her partner, who also happened to have security footage of it. Encouraging the community to increase awareness, she shared her worries about the safety of their family members and emphasized the violence observed during the time.

According to reports, the altercation began when two military officers, inebriated and behaving aggressively, got into an argument with civilians. Seeking reinforcements, they called upon the Bears unit, formally known as the 81st brigade, a pro-Putin private military company with ties to the occupiers in Crimea.

Contradictory accounts emerged regarding the legal consequences for the military personnel involved, with some suggesting a criminal case had been initiated, while others indicated the possibility of internal disciplinary measures within the military unit itself. Radio Svoboda reported that pictures of beaten men circulated, with one perpetrator receiving punishment at the unit level as a disciplinary measure, according to Mirror.

Ukraine Marks Second Year of Putin's Aggression

Having witnessed the horrible incident that took place at a nearby café, the girlfriend described how the armed and masked guys stormed onto the balcony and brutally beat customers with batons. The authorities allegedly attempted to stifle the inquiry, which resulted in successful attempts to identify the perpetrators of the attack being met with opposition.

The world is commemorating the second anniversary of Putin's aggressive campaign against Ukraine while this occurrence takes place. The troops in Kyiv, currently facing a Russian advance along the 600-mile front, are resolute in their efforts to regain the progress achieved during the summer counteroffensive.

The ongoing conflict, marked by 66 combat clashes along the front line on Wednesday, has left parts of the eastern front in a state of devastation. Despite recent losses, retired US General Ben Hodges remains optimistic, emphasizing that Ukraine's decisive moment is yet to come.

Military analysts suggest that the strategic importance of Crimea, captured by Russia ten years ago, could be a turning point in the conflict. Recapturing the peninsula, which houses Russia's main Black Sea Fleet's naval base, might significantly impact Moscow's stranglehold on the Ukrainian economy.

As the war enters its third year, Lt. Gen. Hodges proposes six major strategies for Ukraine to gain an advantage in the ongoing struggle against Putin's invasion, The Sun reported.
