Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (RFK Jr.) said that if U.S. President Joe Biden really has a poor memory, then he should leave U.S. politics.

The independent presidential candidate shared his remarks after a special counsel released a report about the Democrat leader's cognitive health.

The special counsel even described Joe Biden's memory as "faulty," "fuzzy," "poor," and "hazy." Now, RFK Jr. decided to take advantage of this situation to slam the U.S. president. He shared with the public what he would do if he was in the position of the American leader.

RFK Jr. slammed Joe Biden after the release of a special counsel's report alleging that the president's cognitive health is deteriorating.

When he was asked he Joe Biden should step aside, RFK Jr. said that he would hope that someone in his family would urge him to do so. The independent presidential candidate said that he hopes this will happen to him if he's in Biden's position.

"I think anybody can make up their mind about [Biden's situation] as well as I can," said RFK Jr via Fox News.

"If I were in that position, a member of my family or staff would approach me and assist me in gently stepping down," added the American politician.

He was also asked if it was the right time for first lady Jill Biden to intervene with her husband's political agenda. RFK Jr. agreed that Jill should be the one urging Joe Biden to step aside from politics.

"Yeah. I think she should," simply replied RFK Jr.

But, he clarified that if Joe Biden thinks that he is still fit to run as the U.S. president again, then he should agree to "unscripted discussions in public.

"We need a president who is on the ball, somebody who we all trust to answer that phone call at 3:00 in the morning..." he explained.

According to NBC News, the controversial report regarding Joe Biden's cognitive health was released by special counsel Robert Hur, who is investigating the president's handling of classified documents.

The report claims that the American leader couldn't recall the exact when his late son, Beau Biden, died. Aside from this, Robert Hur's report also stated that the president couldn't remember the exact time frame he served as the vice president.

After learning about the document, U.S. President Joe Biden was furious about the allegations about his cognitive health. He said his "memory is fine."

Although the report will not lead to charges for mishandling classified documents, experts said that Robert Hur's report dealt a heavy blow against Biden since it could undermine his message to voters.
