The video she posted via her official Instagram account prompted concerns. Because of this, the Ventura County Sheriff's Department conducted a wellness check.

In her official Instagram post, Britney Spears said that she decided to start playing in the kitchen with knives. But, she clarified that what she was holding was not the real thing.
He added that he posted the video because Halloween is just around the corner.
"I started playing in the kitchen with knives today !!! Don't worry they are NOT real knives !!!," said the American singer via her official Instagram video.
Britney's viral IG content was able to generate over 530,000 likes as of writing. But, she decided to restrict any comment on the post.
According to Fox News' latest report, Britney Spears was dancing around while holding two knives in both hands. She was also only wearing a crop top and bikini bottoms while recording the video.
Because of this, the police decided to check on Britney Spears' well-being on Wednesday, Sept. 27.
"The Sheriff's Communications Center received a call from the Los Angeles Police Department SMART team - that's their Systemwide Mental Assessment Response Team - and they asked us if we would go to Ms. Spears' residence," said the Ventura County Sheriff's Office.
Luckily, two independent sources of the singer told the sheriff's department that the celebrity was not in any danger.
After confirming that Britney was in good condition, authorities decided to clear the call without incident.

Britney Spears Explains Her Knives Video

After the commotion, Britney decided to post another Instagram video to clarify her content about dancing with knives.
"Lighten up about the knives I’m copying Shakira !!!" she said.
The Billboard reported that her statement was a reference to the recent Video Vanguard performance of Shakira, which happened at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards.
In her performance, Shakira was also dancing while holding knives. One of the sources of Britney said that what the police did was overblown.
The individual further stated that Britney was just expressing her freedom, claiming that this kind of video is common on her Instagram.
This is not the first time that the police conducted a wellness check on the American singer. In January, a welfare inspection also happened.
She said that the police visited her house because of some prank phone calls. Britney asked her fans to give her privacy after the incident.
