The police finally identified the third suspect in the NYC daycare center fentanyl poisoning.
Authorities said this individual played a key role in selling drugs stored at the childcare establishment.
3rd NYC Daycare Center Fentanyl Poisoning Suspect Identified

According to The Guardian's latest report, a third suspect was arrested by the New York City police authorities. This is specifically 38-year-old Renny Antonio Parra Paredes, who is facing charges linked to the death of a toddler because of the alarming fentanyl poisoning in a daycare center.
Officials said the man was charged with narcotics distribution, resulting in death. His arrest happened ten days after four young children showed signs of opioid exposure at a Bronx daycare.
One of these four kids, 1-year-old Nicholas Dominici, sadly died. Federal prosecutors said that the third suspect played an "instrumental role" in the death of Nicholas.
This is because Paredes, who goes by the alias "El Gallo," was involved in selling large quantities of drugs, especially fentanyl, that were packaged and stored inside the Bronx daycare center. Some of the drugs he sold were allegedly placed inside mats used by children sleeping in the daycare facility.
"Today's arrest is one more step toward obtaining justice for the child-victims of this heinous offense and their families," said Manhattan U.S. Atty. Damien Williams.

What To Know About NYC Daycare Center Fentanyl Poisoning
Police and crime scene investigators work at a Bronx day care center, after a 1-year-old child died and three other children were injured from alleged exposure to the drug fentanyl last Friday, on September 21, 2023 in New York City.
NPR reported that when the four children were poisoned, medical teams used the nasal spray Narcan to reverse opioid overdose.
After that, they conducted tests to identify the exact opioid drug that poisoned these kids. The New York Police Department said that results showed fentanyl, an intensely strong synthetic opioid used to treat severe pain, such as advanced cancer pain.
Alarming details were also revealed after a federal complaint was unsealed on Sept. 19. Based on the report, a kilogram block of the drug was found in the space that children occupied.
"There, despite the daily presence of children, including infants, the defendants maintained large quantities of fentanyl, including a kilogram of fentanyl stored on top of children's playmats," the affidavit stated.
Aside from this, the complaint also confirmed that Carlisto Acevedeo Brito, one of the three suspects, was using a "kilo press." Since this equipment is typically used to re-compress drugs in powder form, it suggested that Brito and the two remaining suspects are involved in a large drug operation.
