Kibabu the silverback keeps a watchful eye on surroundings as the media cover the exhibit re-opening after the birth of a male infant who is the newest addition to the Western Lowland Gorilla group at Taronga Zoo December 11, 2007 in Sydney, Australia.

According to Fox News' latest report, the Tarzan Movement is a fitness trend based in Spain. Victor Manuel Fleites, a professional fitness expert, founded it.

He and his small group of instructors established the Tarzan Movement to encourage their followers to embrace their inner gorillas.

The fitness lifestyle they offer is a functional type. This means that all the exercises they teach can be used in daily activities.

Of course, their teachings also copy the physical movements of gorillas, gibbons, and other primates. These include squatting, vine swinging, and even making ape noises.

"It is important to not forget that you are an animal. We are animals. We come from the ape family, and I think it is time to recognize the animal side," said the Tarzan Movement founder.

This picture taken on June 18, 2019 shows a young Sumatran orangutan named Reipok Rere swinging on a tree at the forest reserve in Jantho. - Four-year-old Reipok Rere and another primate spent nearly two years learning to fend for themselves at a rehabilitation centre.

The official Tarzan Movement website explained that their main goal is to help people "incorporate the way we observe life with fresh eyes and accompany us with daily practice without feeling forced."

The fitness group stated that the cultural movement they are creating doesn't depend on a specific place or individual.

Fleites explained that although the world is becoming more modernized and people experience evolving societal pressures, it is still important to connect with the animal roots of humans.

Right now, numerous people already joined the Tarzan Movement. The group's followers come from different parts of the globe, such as the United States and Finland.

The Tarzan Movement offers four kinds of online fitness courses: gorilla, orangutan, gibbon, and lemur. But it can't be accessed by non-members.

However, it can be concluded that each of these online courses offers fitness guides that are similar to the movements/lifestyle of the mentioned primates above.
